I’m Sara Elizabeth, a 20 year-old, Impressionist landscape oil painter, focused on capturing the beauty of the natural world.

Even as a child, nature felt like home. I spent a lot of my childhood exploring and observing nature. It always felt strange to me how I could point out the beauty in the way the sun danced on the water or the way the evening light filtered through the leaves of the forest around my home, and it was as if I was the only one to notice such things. It felt like a superpower. Even now, after living in the same place my whole life and having seen pretty much everything nature has to offer around here, I still point out and appreciate the small shifts in color the sun goes through over the seasons and how it affects the coloring of the landscapes. Still, it seems I’m the only one to notice it. 

I want others to see the way I view nature. This is why I’ve dedicated so much of my time teaching myself how to paint what I love the most.
